Summary:

Frontier Energy's Austin office specializes in consulting services to the electric and gas industries in the areas of energy efficiency and demand side management, including research and potential studies to identify energy, water and gas savings opportunities likely to yield environmental and cost-effective benefits for our clients and society as a whole.

Description of Tasks:

· Analysis of the Texas energy market and impact of energy efficiency, demand response, and pricing programs on energy usage using econometric methods

· Experimental design to analyze the impacts of various pricing programs or technologies on consumption behavior

· Reformatting datasets such that they can be used in regression analysis using SAS, R or SQL Server

· Sample Survey Design and Analyses (ex: customer energy usage, utility demand response program performance, and similar data sets)

· Using business analytic software to translate statistical findings into final deliverables (ex: Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or similar platforms)

· Independently drafting technical write-ups and professional presentations to explain results of statistical analyses to internal management and external clients

· Technical research and development of deemed savings values for usage in state technical reference manuals

· Assistance on proposal development on potential energy efficiency, electric demand response and energy economics projects

· Other assistance on projects related to energy efficiency, electric demand response and energy economics including, but not limited to, research, data collection and validation, cost-effectiveness analyses, development of spreadsheet calculator tools, and other similar tasks



Education and Experience Requirements:

· Master's Degree in Statistics or Econometrics plus 3 years' professional experience conducting statistical analyses of the Texas energy market



Experience must include:

· 3 years' professional experience analyzing the Texas energy market and impact of energy efficiency, demand response, and pricing programs on energy usage using econometric methods

· 3 years' professional experience performing regression analysis, logistic regression analysis, panel data analysis and time series analysis using SAS and R (including cleaning, extracting and transforming large datasets via a SQL Server)

· 3 years' professional experience with experimental design including sampling method determination, population stratification, and sample size determination

· 1 year's professional experience working with utilities on demand response consulting services

· Knowledge of business analytic software to translate statistical findings into final deliverables (ex: Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or similar platforms)
