Description: This newly created position will function as part of Integral Care's exciting and innovative Expanded Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (EMCOT). Integral Care's EMCOT partners with Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services, Austin Police Department, and the Travis County Sheriff's Office to bring mental health services to people wherever they are in the community. As part of EMCOT's innovative approach to providing the right care at the right place at the right time, the team is currently working with Austin Police Department at the 911 Call Center to link callers with mental health needs to trained clinicians from the time they call 911 to the time a trained mental health clinician sees them in the community. This position will work at the 911 Center to help develop and implement new 911 protocols and will also provide crisis mental health care and stabilization in the community wherever care is needed. Integral Care's EMCOT seeks to provide people with professional mental health care at the time of crisis and decrease law enforcement intervention whenever possible. This groundbreaking project is made possible through Integral Care's collaboration with great community partners who are dedicated to bringing quality mental health care to individuals and their families experiencing a mental health crisis.

Office locations rotate between 5015 S IH 35; Austin State Hospital, various Emergency Medical Service stations and 911 Call Center (CTECC). There is extensive latitude for the exercise of independent judgement.
