Tech-savvy: comfortable using apps like ArboStar, a Upkeep (CMMS), filling out google forms, or similar ops management software
Customer-focused mindset: ensuring jobs are completed to client satisfaction
Experience in arboriculture, field operations, crew management, or service-based industries is a plus
In short - if you can drive a trailer, put in long days, and don't need to be babysat in order to do your job right, we can train you on the rest and there will be opportunities to move up and create a career.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Field Operations Management
Be at the yard no later than 6:30AM
Oversee morning preparation, ensuring crews have the right equipment and inventory, make sure they follow proper check in/out process, and review your schedule for the day
Drive the crews on the route ensuring efficient job execution and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Serve as the main point of contact for jobsite issues such as scope changes, client concerns, or underquoted work - escalating when necessary.
Job Execution & Quality Control
Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently (measured by man-hour-rate), and to company standards.
Monitor crew productivity, ensuring teams work at an expected pace and complete all service line items.
Identify and document pre-existing property conditions and ensure job completion meets client expectations.
Look for opportunities to upsell additional services and coordinate with the office to update work orders.
Client & Crew Coordination
Conduct client walkthroughs before and after jobs to set expectations, address concerns, and gather feedback.
Handle payment collection and documentation, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
Communicate with the office throughout the day regarding progress, changes, and any issues that arise.
Downtime Responsibilities

During the job, you are going to have down time. You are going to get the guys to the job, deal with the client, get them moving - and then have time between then and the jobs end. In that time acceptable activities include:
Dragging branches - help the guys to knockout the job quicker.
Sell and/or upsell - door knock and sell to neighbors, see if the salesman missed any potential work at the current client and try to sell it
Marketing - disperse flyers/door hangers/etc. Provided by management to nearby neighbors
End-of-Day Responsibilities
Ensure equipment and vehicles are secure, cleaned, and maintained.
Submit collected payments and documentation to the office.
Coordinate dump runs and minimize downtime for crews throughout the day.
Ability to Relocate: Austin, TX: Relocate before starting work (Required)
Ability to Commute: Austin, TX (Required)
Hours: Hours can range depending on the route, but average is 12 HRs per day
Pay:
Base: $20-25 per hour
Rate is based on experience and fit. Pay is based on hours worked and any hours over 40 in a week are considered OT (paid at 1.5X rate) per the FLSA. With built in OT in this position, your annualized base income projects to be in the range of 60-75K per year depending on hourly rate.
Commission for selling jobs in the field. Door knocking neighbors is highly effective in our industry
Bonus program paid out quarterly for getting reviews, placing yard signs, generating leads, etc.
